A Place to Bloom
The Seventh Ray House is our peaceful 2-bedroom, 1-bath desert home in Flamingo Heights, a quiet pocket of the Joshua Tree area surrounded by raw desert and beautiful mountain views.
Sitting on five private acres, the house looks out toward Black Lava Butte and Flat Top Mesa, part of the Sand to Snow National Monument. It feels tucked away from everything while still being close to some of our favorite High Desert restaurants, shops and places to explore.
Inside, the house is a mix of mid-century desert style and collected bohemian pieces. Cool terra-cotta tile floors are layered with authentic Moroccan rugs, with lighting sourced from Turkey and India.
One of our favorite parts of the house is the original 1970s bar, complete with the original bar stools. It’s the perfect spot to make a drink, put on a record, hang out with friends or, honestly, have a mini photoshoot.
Outside is really where the house comes alive: slow mornings, big desert skies, sunsets over the mountains, nights in the hot tub and more stars than you probably see at home.
